Field Elementary offers before and after school activities for students who attend the school daily. The "Corral Club" Program provides a safe and supervised program of fun, recreational, and enrichment activities for children. The program focuses on child-centered care which compliments the school day experiences of Field students.
As an enrichment program, extended day activities promote the development of healthy and age-appropriate leisure time pursuits. Activities vary with the number, ages, and interests of participating children.
A typical day includes time for sharing with friends, and structured activities such as arts and crafts, drama, dance, music, games, organized sports, and academic enrichment. Time for individual pursuits such as recreational reading and completion of homework assignments is also provided.
The program operates under the supervision of the school prinicipal. Staff members include a program manager, and activity leaders with special expertise in organizing activities for school age children. to ensure quality adult guidance for the participating students, a ratio of one adult for every fifteen children is maintained.
