September 2025

Dear Field Families,

What a great start to the 2025–2026 school year! These first few weeks have been filled with energy, curiosity, and so many moments of joy. It’s been a pleasure to watch your children jump into their learning, build new friendships, and bring our classrooms and hallways to life. From the excitement of the first day to the routines we’re now settling into, it’s clear we’re off to a strong and meaningful start.

Thank you for your continued support and for making Back-to-School Night such a success. It was great to connect with so many of you and feel the strong partnership that makes Field such a special place. The conversations, connections, and shared excitement for the year ahead truly highlight the strength of our Field community.

As we move into September, we’re continuing to build momentum, deepen connections, and set the stage for a year full of growth and success. I can’t wait to see how our students continue Galloping to Greatness—together.

Wish for Wheels- Bikes for 2nd Graders

The organization Wish for Wheels is supporting our Field Elementary community by providing refurbished bikes, helmets, and bike locks to all 2nd grade students—at no cost to! This event will take place on Tuesday, September 17th from 1:30–2:30 PM here at Field. A waiver will be sent home with 2nd grade students and it must be signed and returned before the event. More information will be shared by 2nd grade teachers in the coming weeks. Important: A parent or guardian must be present in order for students to take and/or ride their bike home. We are so grateful to Wish for Wheels for embracing our students and making this opportunity possible!

GMS 5th Grade Parent Information Session & School Tour

A message from Goddard Middle School (GMS): Our first Information Session for parents with current 5th graders who will be attending Goddard next year will be, Wednesday, September 24th at 10:00. No RSVP necessary. Session will be held in the GMS Library. Check out the GMS Website/5th Grade Transition for information about other dates offered.

Family Communication Tool: Talking Points
We will continue using TalkingPoints as our primary communication tool (this will replace communication coming through Infinite Campus from the office and staff). This platform enables you to send and receive messages in your preferred language. You can use either text messaging or the TalkingPoints app. We started using Talking Points in August 2024, and this will continue to be our main communication tool this 25-26 school year.

To help get started, please visit Talking Points

Safe2Tell Assemblies

On Tuesday morning, September 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades attended our first out of two Safe2Tell assemblies. Safe2Tell provides students, parents, and community members a safe and anonymous way to report information about any issues that concern their safety or the safety of others. Safe2Tell’s reporting process is simple. Call to interact with a live, trained analyst or fill out a form on our website or mobile app. Safe2Tell was founded on the idea that early intervention is the key to preventing violence and saving lives. The program promotes early intervention by serving as a relay of information between people submitting reports and local multidisciplinary teams, such as schools and law enforcement agencies. Our Staff’s Favorite Things

We often hear from Field families who want to do something kind for a teacher or staff member but are not sure what they might enjoy. Here is a “favorites” spreadsheet that we use that includes some of the things our staff members love— just in case you ever think about brightening someone’s day. Of course, there’s absolutely no expectation; just wanted to share for those who might find it helpful!

School Day Reminders
Our school day is from 7:50 am-2:45 pm, with the exception of Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, our school day is from 8:50 am-2:45 pm.

Each morning, we will continue with our soft start procedure (including the first day of school). During soft start, students are able to enter school between 7:35-7:50 am (M/T/Th/F) and 8:35-8:50 am (W).

Thank you for helping us to ensure students are not on campus prior to 7:35 am as there is no supervision before that time. Please take a moment to access the 2025-2026 School Year Calendar for important dates.

Important Reminder: Device Free Classrooms (Policy JICJ)

Just a quick reminder: the Personal Technology Device (PTD) Policy JICJ, approved by the Littleton Public Schools Board of Education at the end of the 2023–2024 school year, continues to be in full effect. That means students aren’t allowed to use personal devices—like cell phones or smartwatches—during the school day. These devices must be kept in backpacks during school hours. Thank you for your support and understanding as we work to enhance the opportunities for learning and engagement in the classroom!

Student Code of Conduct

The board has adopted a Code of Conduct for all students attending Littleton Public Schools. This is the basis for our implementation of behavior expectations and discipline at Field. Please feel free to review the document, which you agreed to in your LPS registration/family check-in, as a reminder of student expectations.

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders

Thank you for your support during our busiest times- arrival and dismissal!! We appreciate all who are kindly following staff instructions and posted signage at the drop-off and pick-up loop. Your commitment to observing our orange cones, blocked areas, and safety protocols is helping us keep everyone— especially our students—safe during these busy times. A couple of reminders: If you use the car lane to pick up your student in the afternoon, please wait patiently in your vehicle for your child to be dismissed from the number (1-4) assigned to them. If you park, please use the designated crosswalk near the front entrance. Walking between cars or across traffic lanes creates safety concerns for everyone—especially during our busy times at drop off and pick up. Thank you for keeping everyone safe!

Student Birthdays

We will support the District Board Policy ADF, promoting healthy food choices for students. Due to allergies and other health concerns, please help us by not bringing in food for birthday celebrations. Non-food items are welcome if you choose to do that; please check with the classroom teacher.
